A team of state officials from the State of Arkansas, Delter Region of the United States of America led by its president, Mayor Rick Elumbaugh are in Ghana to sign Memorandum of Understanding with Ghana’s Metropolitan/Municipal/District Assemblies.
The team, which will be in the country till 16th October, 2016 is expected to finish economic development partnership talk and agreement signing between sister cities of both countries.
Briefing the press, President of National Association of Local Authorities of Ghana, Hon. Alhaji Mohammed Doku who on behalf of the government and the people of Ghana received the guest indicated that in the last couple of years Ghana have had economic and trade relations with the U.S.A. and are now considering touching down to the various cities and assemblies for more impacting trade relations.
He assured the team of Ghana’s readiness to nurture whatever agreement the two parties sign to maturity and sustainability.
Mayor Rick Elumbaugh on his part lauded Ghana saying the two countries have come a long way into making sure a major economic relation is formed to continue to look at the trade opportunity that each country can have.
Representatives of other agencies are expected in the country from the U.S.A. later in the days to contribute their Cota in the signing of the MOU for both countries.
