Written by  Sep 25, 2018
Customers of mobile telecommunications network, AirtelTigo are experiencing unstable network over the 48 hours. The situation has generated mixed reactions on social media with some customers slamming the company. Others have used unprintable words and called on the company to rectify the situation. A near blow situation nearly broke at the Accra headquarters of the company on Monday, our reporter Isaac Worlanyo Wallace reported on Nyankonton Mu Nsem today [Tuesday]. A customer he spoke to at the headquarters on Tuesday complained he has lost the opportunity to sell a car to a client because the client was unable to reach him on his number. Another customer also lamented he had lost out on a number of business deals due to the situation. Efforts are underway to speak to senior executives at the company over the matter. The second largest telecommunications company has over the past six months invested significantly in its network upgrade and consolidation, which is to offer an enhanced customer experience nationwide. The company t recently completed its consolidation in the Northern, Upper East, Upper West, Brong Ahafo and the Ashanti region to become one big network. A statement issued by the company some few weeks ago stated that the company has also increased its 3G population coverage across the five stated regions and has promised to continue enhancing the network experience in the coming months. The next phase of the upgrade will cover the Eastern, Volta, Western and Central Regions which will be completed hopefully in September. Greater Accra region will follow soon after that. The upgrade and consolidation of the network is part of AirtelTigo’s plan to fulfill its commitment to deliver a bigger, better and stronger network to its customers.
