A regular guest on GH Entertainment on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm, Kwame Ashong has described individuals referring to Patapaa’s ‘One Corner’ hit track as an evil song-as ‘extremely ignorant’.
The entertainment critic contributing on the show, wondered why Ghanaians are bent on killing the shine of the musician.
He also expressed shock at the call for the song to be banned when it contains no vulgar words.
Mr. Ashong said people who are making such comments, lack understanding of creativity and artistic impression.
Using the late Terry Bonchaka as an example, he said the late musician became popular because of his creativity hence Ghanaians should give Patapaa a break.
He added that, Patapaa did not ask Ghanaians to wiggle their waist when they hear the song and so he should not be attacked unnecessarily.
Kwame Ashong said the song has gone viral with international musicians having fun with the track.
On his part Mr. Fred Kyei Mensah aka Uncle Fred also wondered why some are referring to the song as an evil song.
In his view, the portions of the song advised drivers to be disciplined on our roads when driving.
He said the musician was only expressing his creativity through the song and nothing more.
