Gospel musician Celestine Donkor has eulogized legendary boxer Azumah Nelson for his contribution that saw her through senior high secondary.
She revealed on the mid-morning show with Sokoohemaa Kukua that, after junior high school, she was faced with serious economic crisis hence she lost the opportunity to attend her first choice school.
According to her, ''although I passed and my name was part of the first ten students, I could not attend Labone because I did not have the resources. By the time I got the money, the school had closed admission.’’
She went on to state that she had no choice than to attend Nsanyinya Senior Secondary School because ''I did not want to sit at home.’’
Celestine Donkor further revealed that, through her song ministration, her school mother took her to her church for an all night service where she met Azumah Nelson who gave her a scholarship that saw her through secondary school.
The singer applauded the renowned boxer for the opportunity he gave her to go through secondary school.
She was sharing devotion on the need for Christians not to give up no matter the challenges they may be going through.
