Violence against women does not only pose danger to the victim but to families, communities, and economies.
Worldwide, one in three women will experience violence in her lifetime.
Globally, the call to ending violence against women has been organized annually to intensify awareness towards that fight.
In view of this, young filmmaker, Dela Finn, has shot a short narrative film ‘ABUSED’ to help raise awareness’ about violence against women.
'ABUSED, is a Short Film based on the issues of Violence Against Women happening around the Globe.
‘ABUSED’ is a short narrative film which tells the story of a lady - DZIFA who suffered domestic violence and lost her baby in the process. Three (3) years later, after rebuilding herself, DZIFA decides to empower other women going through similar situation by narrating her trauma and advising the general public.
The beautiful film stars Joyce Everest, Nelson Mandela Jnr, Rebecca Wornu, Nomo Esther Dede, Celestina E. Dogbey, Kpodo Rose, Nana Yaa Danso and Gloria S. Britwum.
The film was written and directed by Dela Finn and produced by Deland Films.
Screenplay was by Stella Mawulorm and the genre is drama.
‘ABUSED’ will premiere at the Global Cinemas on May 19th, 2018.
