A philanthropist, businessman and a member of the landlord association of Ngleshie Amanfrom Mr. Zack Maus, has expressed disappointment in the Ghana Police Service for failing to arrest one Kofi Isaac B. Yiadom for harassing and physically abusing residents and land owners in the locality. According to him, he has lost hope and trust in the police because Mr. Yiadom, who he accused of harassing and abusing people physically, goes round telling people that he has bought the entire police service including the IGP. The Lamptey Mills land lords Association at Ngleshie Amanfrom recently held a demonstration to protest what they described as an unlawful takeover of their lands by the latter. They also called on President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to intervene. Mr. Maus told Rainbow Radio’s Banahene Agyekum that, he was recently attacked together with his lawyer by Mr. Yiadom and although he has reported the case, nothing has been done about it. He also told Agyekum that his land has been allegedly seized by Mr. Yiadom popularly called Kofy and when he confronted him, he [Yiadom] told him that, he has sold the land to the IGP’s wife ‘’and so I am beginning to believe what he told me. I am confused and feel sad for the way and manner the police is handling the issue. He said, there are more than 100 people who have also been affected by the unlawful act by Mr. Yiadom. We want the police to come over and investigate and find out for themselves if what we are saying is true or false. We are also appealing to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to intervene before the issue escalates.’’ Zack Maus further revealed, a resident and victim was allegedly shot and killed by assigns of Mr. Yiadom however, innocent people have been arrested for no crime committed.
