A senior statesman and former security advisor under former president John Dramani Mahama, Rtd Brigadier Gen. Nunoo Mensah has predicted that, Ghana will soon witness a civil war.
The retired military officer believes patriotism, which in the past was a dominant trait among Ghanaians has become deficient in recent times.
Speaking to Kwame Tutu on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm he said, nobody thinks about the country first; we all think about ourselves first.
Corruption, selfishness, and greed he lamented has infested leaders and they are not living up to expectation.
Governance he said should be for the people and by the people however, people are stealing anyhow.
He stressed, what happened in Liberia, Congo and other African countries will happen in Ghana if we don’t take care. Our leaders are corrupt and greedy. They don’t think about Ghanaians.
Ghana he lamented is a failed state because people are still struggling to make ends meet whereas our leaders are living extravagant lifestyles.
