Dr. Gyemfi bemoaned the lack of knowledge on our how we struggled to gain independence, the period of the various coups and how we accepted democracy and constitutional rule especially within the current generation.
The medical doctor-cum author is set to launch his 19th book titled, ‘Twins Divided’.
The book he said chronicles the political struggle of Ghana right from the leadership of late Dr. Kwame Nkrumah and will be launched at the Alisa Hotels November 1, 2017.
He stressed, ''I wanted to capture all the happenings in the past so our children will read and understand the history of Ghana. I want Ghanaians to read the struggles we went through in the past. I was a witness to a lot of happenings in the country and I have chronicled them in the book to serve as a guide for readers,’’ he added.
Ghana he said has a rich history hence the need for the history to be passed onto the upcoming generation.
