Former Prez Mahama cannot win 2020 for the NDC-Namoale Featured

Written by  Nov 10, 2017
Former President John Dramani Mahama cannot win power for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), in 2020. That is my belief, former MP for La Dadekotopon, Nii Amasah Namoale, has posited. Nii Amasah Namoale, who has rescind his decision to contest as presidential candidate in 2020 because Prof. Alabi has popped up said the ten (10) regional chairpersons who issued a statement to urge Mr. Mahama, are cheating for the former president. He has also alleged that the chairpersons are also making the former president appear as the most favourable candidate although there are other individuals who have expressed interest. The statement from the chairpersons calling on Mr. Mahama to consider representing the party, shows that they will make it appear as if former president Mahama, is the only one who can win 2020 for the party. ‘’That is their thinking; and that is their belief. It is democratic, he can believe that. I [Nii Amasah Namoale] also think that President Mahama cannot win 2020 for us. So there should be a new leader and a new hope, so when we see the new leader, there would be a new hope to bring on board all other people who failed to vote in 2016, that made us garner only 44 percent. My belief and your belief would be tested at congress. So why do you cheat? The legislator said, Mr. Mahama may win the primaries as his followers are claiming but to win the 2020 general elections may bring the party bigger disgrace. He also indicated that all the other candidates who have never assumed the post as president, may not be mocked if they win by 50 percent and all party supporters will rally behind them but former President Mahama, must not win with not less than 90 percent, he added.   ‘’President Mahama will win  the primaries hands down as they are purporting but with what percentage?
