The Seventh Great Princess Academy, a private school located at Dansoman has ended a three-day sporting event with Sharon Agannah emerging as the overall best sports student.
The Sports Festival held at the Kaneshie Sports Complex and the Dansoman campus of the school, witnessed over 200 sporting talents to battle for honours in football, basketball, athletics, scrabble among others.
The 18-year old, Agannah at the Senior High level, was awarded the Academic and Sports Personality of the Year at the end of the sports festival.
She won the same award in 2017.
She expressed interest in playing for the senior national team, the Black Queens.
The most promising sports student went to Julius Boateng whereas the outstanding female student went to Sharon Agannah.
Best footballer went to Wisdom Ayirigya.
Dansoman Senior High School was adjudged the overall best school.
They swept the second best school under the Junior Level whereas Lartebiokorshie Junior High School took the third position.
According to the Deputy Director of the School, Madam Yvette Brown,the award winners would be assisted to better their skills and polish them up to become good sports men and women for the country.
She encouraged the public to send their children the school because of its track record.
The school was adjudged the best in the BECE for 2017 and 2015, she touted.
‘’We are doing our best…Education is the best thing to give to your children. We build the children to have confidence in themselves as well as be able to achieve their goals and aims when it comes to their personal life,’’ she told journalists.
The event was chaired by George Palmer Asare.
A minute silence was held in honour of the late Ebony Reigns- the female dancehall artiste who lost her life in a gory accident Thursday night.
Ebony started school at Seven Great Princess Academy, a private school located at Dansoman in Accra.
She later continued her Senior High School education at Methodist Girls High School at Mamfe in the Akuapim North District of the Eastern Region.
