A former National Democratic Congress (NDC) MP for Techiman South, Mr. Mensah Adjei, has called on President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, to commission the major health and school facilities constructed under the Mahama administration. Speaking on Frontline on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm, the former legislator lambasted the current administration for failing to commission these projects to allow residents in the locations where the facilities are, to use them. In the view of Mr. Mensah Adjei, Ghanaians are yet to feel the change promised by President Akufo-Addo. He said, ‘’when the NPP was campaigning, they promised Heaven on Earth but after taking over, they have failed to deliver. This shows how incompetent the administration is. Some health facilities including the Ofankor Health Centre have been abandoned after they were commissioned for use. Residents of Teshie Camp Two in the Greater Accra Region, are also yet to benefit from a Community-Based Health Planning and Services, otherwise referred to as CHPS Compound built for the community about a year and a half ago. The $217 million University of Ghana Medical Centre, the Bank of Ghana Hospital, the solar-powered medical centre at the Volo Digital Village in the Volta Region, as well as the GHc320,000 CHPS compound at Teshie have all been abandoned after they were completed. Mr. Mensah Adjei said the current government does not have the Ghanaian at heart and only working for their own interest.
