The Amassan Divisional Police Command has arrested an alleged fraudster following a complaint filed at the command by one Sameul Akufo Abrokwah in an alleged money doubling scandal.
The complaint is said to have confronted one Nana Ali the suspect, who promised to double money for him [Victim] so he could expand his business.
Addressing the media, the Commander, Chief Superintendent Yiribaare Francis, who confirmed the story said the suspect, promised to conjure money and assist the victim recover from some spiritual challenges he was going through.
He also revealed that the suspect reportedly bolted with an amount of GHc 7,000 after asking the victim to pay so he could double it for him.
He said the two have been contacting each other from April 4, 2018 until he was arrested on April 9, 2018.
The police he noted is currently investigating the matter and will soon process him for court.
Chief Superintendent called on the public to assist the police with any information to assist with their investigation.
He cautioned the public to desist from the quest for quick money so they will not fall prey to tricks and fraudsters like Nana Ali.
The suspect he added is a spiritualist with a shrine within the locality he was arrested.
