The National Democratic Congress (NDC) MP for Sagnarigu constituency, Alhaji A.B.A Fuseini, has lambasted the Daily Guide newspaper for suggesting that he has been granted police enquiry bail over the alleged double salaries under the former Mahama administration.
In an interview on Frontline on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm, the legislator said, ‘’the Daily Guide is someone who has died in a market and you don’t need to announce their demise.’’
Mr. Fuseini went on to state that the newspaper ‘’is a sycophantic mouth piece of this supper incompetent government,’’ peddling lies and dirty propaganda.
He insisted that former appointees under former president Mahama did not draw double salary as alleged.
He explained, former appointees were paid on account and did not receive double salary.
According to him, because this administration has been exposed over the corrupt deals, they are under pressure to use this story to criminalize the Minority.
‘’There was no salary. Salaries of MPs are determined by the president upon recommendation by the emoluments committee. So they could not have been double salary. When was it paid?
The CID he suggested is being used as a tool to intimidate the minority.
