Residents at Ayigbe Town in the Weija Gbawe Municipality are protesting against the rearing and breeding pigs in the locality.
The angry residents speaking to Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm lamented that, the breeding of the pigs is threatening their lives hence the need for authorities to step in.
They told Rainbow Radio that the pigs have destroyed properties of residents and usually moves into their rooms.
Assembly Member for New Weija electoral area, Mr. Oduro Ampaw called on government to intervene.
Mr. Ampaw emphasized that, barely 3 months ago, pigs in the above mentioned community chewed and wounded a 7 year old girl.
He has therefore appealed to the Assembly to as a matter of urgency take a positive action towards the pigs in the Ayigbe town community but shouldn't wait till indigenes of the area start joining their ancestors.
