Don't vote for incompetent, inefficient people-NDC delegates told

Written by  Jun 22, 2018
Former MCE for Agona West in the Central Region, Samuel Oppong, has cautioned members and supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), to desist from voting for inefficient people in the upcoming constituency party elections across the country tomorrow [Saturday]. He advised the supporters of the party to elect members who are competent, reliable and trustworthy for the positions to secure victory in the 2020 national election. In an interview with Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm, he stated that, members of the party should elect members who are fit for the job and have interests in programmes that are economically viable and business. He also advised the members of the party to ignore interpersonal conflicts and group interests and unite at the national level to win the hearts of the citizens and the 2020 elections. He also suggested that, the party should be more concerned in the regions they select running mates to secure them more votes. “I will prefer a running mate from the Brong Ahafo region or Greater Accra region because there is overwhelming acceptance” he quoted. He also thinks the party’s former President John Dramani Mahama is ahead of other persons who have expressed interest in running as candidate for the party in their presidential race and advises him to keep up the good work and select a partner who is very good in the business and labor community to secure the party victory in the 2020 national elections.
