The president of the Ghana Taekwondo federation, Mr. Frederick Otoo has launched the mission 2024 Paris Olympics project at the St. Kizito Basic School in Accra.
The project which is aimed at turning kids at the basic school level into Olympic medal winners, brought together top level officials of the sports fraternity including the chairman of the others.
The headmistress of the school, Madam Victoria pledged the school’s support for the success of the project and urged her pupils to take their Taekwondo lessons serious as it has gotten onto the school’s curricula.
“The Ghana Taekwondo Federation has revised its plans towards Tokyo 2020 and now has a 6 year development plan in place with kids of eight ,ten and twelve years old from the St. Kizito school who will 6 years from now qualify for youth Olympics games in Paris. We thank KOIKA for supporting the project with a resident coach to help train the kids towards 2024”, said, the Ghana Taekwondo federations president, Mr. Frederick Lartey Otoo”.
