Mr Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, the man who has elevated from his role as deputy information Minister to Information Minister in the first reshuffle by President Akufo-Addo has commended his former boss, Dr Mustapha Hamid. The legislator in an interview with Accra based Joy Fm revealed that, Dr Hamid taught him and his other deputies a lot in political communication. He also assured the president of his dedication and his quest to deliver to the best of his ability. ‘’Mustapha Hamid has taught us a lot in political communication; myself and two of my other colleagues at the ministry. I assure the president I will deliver to the best of my ability…As I have always done wherever I find myself.’’ Meanwhile, Dr Hamid who has been moved to the Inner City and Zongo Development Ministry has disclosed he recommended Oppong Nkrumah when he was given the opportunity to name a deputy after he was appointed by the president as minister in charge of information. I, with the acceptance of the President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo made Kojo Oppong-Nkrumahmy deputy. The President was gracious to me, when he asked me to be minister for Information, he was gracious to me by saying, I want you to nominate somebody who shall be your deputy, and I said to him that, I want Kojo, first of all, because, I had developed a relationship with Kojo over the years, I trusted his expertise in this area and experience and when I suggested it to the President, the President said you have it." Oppong Nkrumah who is the MP for Ofoase Ayiribi would have to be approved by Parliament’s Appointment’s Committee to assume his role as Information Minister.
