Berekum Arsenal C.E.O Alhaji Yakubu Moro has accused former Ghana Football Association president Mr. Kwesi Nyantakyi, of allegedly pocketing Glo sponsorship deal of $1.5m, an amount he suggested was supposed to be given to the clubs as sponsorship money.
He made the revelation in an interview with Isaac Worlanyo Wallace on Rainbow Sports.
He was speaking on the GHALCA invitational tournaments money that would be given to the clubs who have accepted the proposal to participate in the competition.
The CEO of the division one side later revealed that he took a loan of ghc80, 000 from NDK financiers for one and a half year and used Glo as a guarantor and paid over ghc300, 000 as the sponsor money delayed.
‘’I am not the only club owner who have suffered this fate but every club as we were waiting for the sponsorship money.
Glo and Ghana football association signed a five(5) year sponsorship deal as the headline sponsor for the Ghana premier league. A $3M deal was signed for the first year and an upward increment expected for the next four years.
Glo made an initial 50 percent cash payment and then paid the remainder later on.
