Ghanaian boxer, Emmanuel ‘The Game Boy’ Tago,e has exclusively spoken to Rainbow Sports over his discovery that, a son he fathered for the past 14-years turned not to be his biological son.
Speaking in exclusive interview with Isaac Worlanyo Wallace on Rainbow Sports, the boxer said, he was shocked after the discovery. The Ghanaian boxer was dragged to an Accra Circuit Court by one Ms Diana Otoo, mother of the child, citing neglect of paternal duties.
The 29-year-old claims he had always felt suspicious a conspiracy by the family of the woman who, he says plotted to siphon monies from him.
He disclosed to the host that at age 15, a young girl walked to his house and accused him of making her pregnant.
Tagoe told Wallace he was sure he was not responsible for the pregnancy but his late mum, took responsibility of the pregnancy, took care of the child until she passed on.
According to him, the family of the 14-year old kept asking for more money even though he was providing a monthly stipend of GHc500 every month.
He said his suspicion grew stronger following the behaviour of the mother of the boy who demanded he [Tagoe], send the 14-year-old boy to the school Asamoah Gyan, his former manager attended.
‘’I had to go back to court and seek permission to get a DNA done which the court faithfully granted. I was shocked after the results were released. The lady wanted to destroy my reputation. She was using means to draw money from me all these years.’’
When asked if he would take an action against the woman, he said, ‘’the court asked if I wanted my money I spent in taking care of the child over the past fourteen years back but I told the court that, for the sake of the child, I was not interested in retrieving a pesewa. I see this as freedom from the stress and pain I went through all these years. I thank God for exposing the lies and evil I suffered all these years. I forgive her for the sake of the child but I know God will surely reward her for the evil she committed against me.''
