Don't vote for a candidate who is corrupt-Spio appeals to NDC delegates at campaign launch

Written by  Oct 16, 2018
Presidential candidate hopeful, Dr. Ekwow Spio-Garbrah, has admonished delegates of the opposition National Democratic Congress to give him massive endorsement in order to make it easier for the party to win the 2020 elections. He said, the delegates should avoid voting for any candidate with a tag of corruption, scandals and financial malfeasance. At a ceremony to officially launch his campaign, the diplomat said, Ghanaians are looking for someone who is incorruptible, clean and will stand test of integrity, probity and accountability. According to him, there is a great tsunami of change that is blowing in the NDC and that same wind of change that saw some NDC former executives lose their seats will be recorded in the upcoming flagbearership race which he will massively win. Dr. Spio-Garbrah told the gathering that, Ghanaians are not looking for a candidate who is only liked by the NDC but looking for a candidate who will also appeal to every Ghanaian voter. The aspiring candidate was hopeful he will beat all his contenders and emerge as candidate for the NDC. The delegates of the NDC he said are looking for someone with the requisite kind of experiences, a competent person and a flag bearer who can help to unite the party. He called on other candidates to focus their message on the internal primaries and stop deviating from the race ahead. He further called on the party to spend 10 percent of their campaign funds to conduct a research on who Ghanaians would want to vote for as president in 2020 from all the candidates contesting.
