The Founder and General Overseer of Jesus Mission International Ministries, Apostle Jonathan Essel has called on Ghanaians to eschew all forms of violence especially as the nation countdown to November 7 to cast their ballot.
According to him, the election is not about violence, insults or acrimony but its the choice of every electorate to elect their choice of leaders who they think will be able to manage the affairs of state.
Apostle Essel explained, Ghana has gone through successful elections over the years and for us to experience another successful election, Ghanaians and most especially Christians should be at the front to promote peace and unity and eschew all forms of actions that may undermine the peace and stability of the nation.
The man of God posited, Ghana is the only country we have, hence we must be guided by this and ensure that we avoid engaging in violence before, during and after the elections.
He also took the opportunity advise political parties and its leaders to desist from politics of insults rather they should engage in an issue based debate and explain to Ghanaians what they can do to transform the lives and economy of the state.
Apostle Jonathan Essel warned politicians who for the sake power would want to seek powers or support from dark forces to desist from doing so because they will be exposed.
He said, the clergy is on their knees day and night praying against any form of evil forces seeking to turn the nation against itself in their quest [politicians] to win power at all cost.
Speaking with Nyankonton Mu Nsem's Nhyiraba Kwabena Essilfie, the Apostle said, Ghanaians should continue to pray to God to grant us an atmosphere of peace as we prepare towards the November polls.
Apostle Jonathan Essel in his message on Easter Sunday as Christians marked the Resurrection of Christ Jesus, said, Christians in remembering the sacrifice of the risen Saviour should seize the opportunity to live by the examples of Christ who came preach peace, salvation and love and most importantly reconcile us with our creator.
He stressed, the purpose for which Christ came to pursue on earth was to preach the gospel to every creature so those believes are saved from damnation.
