One of the senior professional golfers in Ghana who identifies himself with Celebrity Golf Club in Ghana, John Mawuli, is grateful to God for winning Asantehene Gold Cup and Accra Open golf championship all in 2016 which are both major golf competitions in Ghana golf calendar but says he is looking for international tournaments come 2017. Speaking to Nana Prempeh, Of Rainbow Radion International 87.5 Fm in Accra and London, Mr John Mawuli, who is a member of Ghana Professional Golfers Association stressed on participating more in Africa, Asia, America, Europe and other outside tours in 2017 to compete with other players to make his game better for international lures for Ghana and himself. John Mawuli took part in five professional events organized by clubs and Associations namely 2016 Gold Fields PGA tour in Damang in the Western Region, Accra Open, Ghana Open, Tema Open and Asantehene Gold Cup at the Royal Golf Club in Kumasi which he won two of them comfortably with several strokes. However, the man who admire Emos Korbblah locally and Tiger Woods internationally as his role models is not abandoning locally organized competitions next year but will play it along with international which means the year confronting me is busy golf season for me John Mawuli reveals. He ended by thanking president of Ghana PGA for bringing sanity into Ghana pros and instilling discipline in them to become better players which has afford them the opportunity to rock shoulders with Nigerian players, Cameroon, Sierra Leon, Equatorial Guinea, South Africa, Great Briton and other continent which they sometimes beat to win top prizes and runner up positions. My thank you cannot conclude if I did not show appreciation to my senior and junior colleague golfers like Victor Brave Mensah, Emos Korbblah, Stephen Kwame Klah, Kojo Banni, Vincent Torgah, captain of Ghana PGA and captain for Celebrity Golf Club Mr Piervert for shaping me to be how I am today.    By: Nana Prempeh
