A forty-two year-old cocoa farmer, John Sekyi, has reportedly butchered a colleague farmer, Oppong Gyesi, 58, over a cocoa farm which they have litigated over for years.
The incident occurred at Prestea Huni Valley near Bogoso where the suspect allegedly butchered the deceased, dragged the body into the bush and concealed the body under leaves.
A court is said to have ruled in favour of Oppong Gyesi and ordered the suspect no to set foot on the cocoa farm.
However, he defied that order, and sent someone on the farm-a situation that infuriated Oppong Gyesi who reported him to the police.
And so following that, the suspect trailed the victim into the farm and reportedly butchered him, our reporter Musa said.
Speaking to Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5fm, he said, the suspect is currently in police custody.
The remains of Oppong Gyesi has also been deposited at the morgue.
