The professional golfers across the country are ready to play from 2nd to 5th December in the biggest ever paid pros competition in Ghana dubbed ''2015 GOLDFIELDS PROfESSIONAL GOLFERS CHAMPIONSHIP'' at Tarkwa - Daman golf course which is the second edition after the maiden one last year. In an exclusive telephone interview with the president of Ghana PGA Mr Bliss Ayivor, disclosed to Rainbow Sports that Goldfields Ghana is sponsoring the competition with a hundred and twenty five thousand cedis ( GHC 125.000.00 ) with the winner walking home with five thousand Ghana cedis which is almost eight thousand US dollars equivalence. Mr Ayivor added that his administration is in to improve the lives of a pro golfer but said in their quest to do so they will need cooperate Ghana support to get more such competitions for PGA members to take part. 45 Ghanaian pros will be playing with two professionals invited from six West Africa sub region namely Nigeria, Serra lone, Cote D’Voire, Benin, Togo and Cameroon making it a total of 57 pros with first 24 in the second day make the cut to continue to finish the four days. Meanwhile the 2015 Gabon open championship champion who scored 16 under course par that’s 272 gross over four days to clinch the first edition Vincent Torgah, is motivated to play better this year and break his personal record he made the last time to retain the title, Torgah also stated he’s had a good golf season this 2015 five and will be playing US open qualifier to robb shoulders with Tiger Woods and Michael Roy and others because in west Africa Ghanaian golfers are the best. The man from the only accepted international golf course standard in Ghana Stephen Klah, who placed second last year with two over par vow to beat the defending champion and lift the name of Achimota high to suite the course and lower the flag of Tema country golf club. Other cracking professional golfers like Emos Korblah Achimota golf club, Victor Brave Mensah of Tema country club, Kojo Banni Royal golf club in Kumasi, John Mawuli, Godwin Sai and other notable ones are all expected to show their golfing skills between Tuesday and Friday from 2nd to 5th December 2015.   Story: Nana Prempeh
