Rural Literacy through progressive reading to receive a major boost as The Steve Tenkamenin Awuyah Addae Foundation (STAAF) launches its organization and reading program on Saturday, 29th April 2017 at the Du Bois Center in Accra.*The launch will be presided over by the immediate past First Lady, H.E Mrs Lordina Mahama, Former Chief Executive of Ghana Chamber of Mines, Rev. Dr. Joyce Aryee, Professor of Comparative Literature at West Chester University, Pennsylvania, Prof Chris Awuyah and representatives from key governmental and non governmental institutions. Also in attendance are Diplomats, Traditional Rulers, Community leaders, individuals and Corporate Ghana.The STAAF Launch starts at 5:30 pm with participants and sponsor registration with speeches from the above mentioned names and the founder of this noble organization.About STAAFThe STAAF Foundation is a Non Profit Organization with the primary aim of improving literacy in rural areas by promoting the culture of reading to the general public. Founded by Steve Awuyah and supported by over 150 members and volunteers the foundation is seeking to raise funds to help build a library in Sokpoe, in the Volta Region and other rural areas. STAAF is recognized by the Department of Social Development of the Republic of Ghana.
