Kwesi Botchwey Committee presents 455 page report on NDC defeat

The 13 member Kwesi Botchwey led committee on Monday June 19, 2017 presented a 455 page report to the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) after months of reviewing what led to the terrible defeat of the umbrella family. Presenting the report, Prof. Kwesi Botchwey described the report as a fairly comprehensive and rigorous report which identifies all the factors that led to the defeat of the NDC in 2016. The committee held meetings with party leadership and executives and most importantly, visits to the regional and constituencies to listen to the rank and file of party supporters and members to review the causes for the massive defeat of the party. He admonished party supporters to rejoice because the report with its recommendation will bring end to the different views held by party supporters on what caused their defeat. The report he explained covers a wide varied of things that caused their defeat. Meanwhile, General Secretary of the party, Johnson Asiedu Nketia has revealed that NEC will start analyzing the 455 page report from Tuesday June 20, 2017.      Other members of the committee are: Rt. Hon. Edward Doe Adjaho, Alhaji Hudu Yahaya, Naval Capt. Asase Gyimah, Mr. Razak Abu. Dr. William Ahadzie. Dr. Ibrahim Zubairu, Mrs. Juliana Azumah-Mensah, Ms. Barbara Serwaa Asamoah. The parliamentary group includes: Rt. Hon. Alban Bagbin, Second Deputy Speaker, Hon. Haruna Iddrissu-Minority Leader, Hon. Sampson Ahi and Hon. Nii Lante Vanderpuje.
