National Organizer for the opposition Progressive People’s Party (PPP), Divine Nkrumah, has taken a swipe at the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) for failing to uproot corruption as promised Ghanaians.
The outspoken political leader told Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.Fm that, the corruption, thievery and mismanagement that saw the NDC leave power, is still hovering around the current government.
Divine Nkrumah said Ghanaians have not witnessed any significant change since the NPP won political power and if care is not taking, we will witness worse cases of corruption under the NPP government.
‘’The NDC as an opposition, lacks the integrity and cannot be the option for Ghanaians. The ruling NPP has also failed miserably, he added.
The party has provided Ghanaians with great political leadership and our move to criticize government and ensure competent leadership, cannot be compared to any party.
He slammed government for the ‘’insignificant reduction’’ in the Special Petroleum Tax from 15%-13% and questioned why the ruling party is making noise over the reduction.
‘’Nothing has changed in Ghana. It is only the driver who has been changed but the corruption witnessed under the previous administration is still going on,’’ he concluded.
The Progressive People’s Party (PPP) says it remains the only political party with the ‘magic wand’ to turn things around in this country.
Touting itself as the best alternative and third largest political party and second largest opposition party, Divine Nkrumah, the Youth Organizer said, since its inception some six years (6) ago, they have been able to turn the fortune of the party around.

The youth he stated have done so well in making the PPP what it is today.

The party will also continue to remind government on the need to provide jobs for the unemployed youth, provide proper education for the youth because when there are no jobs for
The party has also earmarked February 25, 2018 for a national conference of students, party leaders, members and other participants to take stock of their achievements and way forward.
The PPP he stressed is the best alternative as compared to the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).
A political party is not only about winning power but it is about providing the best alternative and speaking the truth without fear or favour when leadership provided by state officers, is not the best.
The formation of the PPP followed a declaration made on 28th December 2011 by Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom for progressive and independent-minded people to rise and cause to be formed an alternative political movement to compete for political power for a major transformation of the Ghanaian society.
The interim leadership of the progressive movement began a nationwide campaign to recruit members to form Interim Regional and Constituency Executives. The team visited all the ten regions of Ghana.
