Part of Kumasi City Mall ceiling collapses


A part of the ceiling at the Kumasi City Mall has caved in, Tuesday morning.

Rainbow Radio’s Kwabena Amoateng told Kwame Tutu on Frontline on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm that the ceiling at the section that houses the GAME shop collapsed shortly before the scheduled time for the shop to open.

There were no casualties, Kwabena Amoateng said.

According to him, the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) are currently clearing the debris from the scene of the incident.

 

The mall has also been closed for business temporarily.

 

 

 

Meanwhile, NADMO officials are urging the public not to panic as the situation has been brought under control, the reporter added.
