Political analyst and sustainable development expert Michael Ebo Amoah has congratulated the wife of late Hon. Ekow Quansah Hayford for retaining the parliamentary seat has retained for the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP).
He opined that it was obvious the former senior police officer was going to win the seat following the support she received from the governing party.
Mrs. Mensah Hayford polled 36, 021 to beat her contender Mr. James Odziifo Essoun who had 32,438.
The NPP filed the former senior police officer after the demise of her husband.
Ekow Quansah Hayford was killed by suspected armed robbers last Friday while returning from a campaign at Abeaze Dominase.
Reacting, the political analyst said the only thing the new MP can do is to serve only one term.
He said he doubts if the elected MP can sustain the seat.
The constituency he added is a controversial one and going into the four years, a lot can happen.
