The governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) says it has won 137 seats from the 275 seats in parliament making them win the majority seats even though they need 138 seats to be on the majority side.
Addressing a press conference, the party slammed the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) accusing them of cooking figures to claim victory in the presidential election.
General Secretary of the party, John Boadu said the incumbent president Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo had polled 6, 610,417 representing 51.46% whereas the former president has garnered 6, 063,645 representing 47.20%.
These figures he revealed were collated from 97.12% of the reported results from 37, 813 constituencies.
The outstanding polling stations that they are yet to receive results from is 2.88%.
Mr. Boadu said the percentage represents 1,120 outstanding polling stations.
He said the NPP will not declare the results but waiting for the EC to declare the results since it does not have the power to declare the results.
