General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah says the party has won the majority of seats of parliament with 141 votes as well as the presidency.
Addressing the press, he explained that the NDC will elect the Speaker of Parliament, the First Deputy Speaker, form the majority of leaders of the various committees in the house.
He indicated that the NPP will only form the Minority and will not make any major decisions in the house when it comes to leadership positions.
He also claimed that they have picked information that the EC is on a mission to engage in fishy acts to overturn the will of the people.
He further alleged that they have gathered that an agenda for a recount in already declared constituencies have been initiated.
The law he noted does not also allow any institution to declare the presidential election but the EC.
However, the declaration should not be done in a vacuum but by the law.
He warned media houses to desist from calling the results because the NDC will not entertain such acts.
Mr. Nketiah said the NDC will put in all efforts to protect their victory and will not allow anyone to overturn the will of the people.
He slammed the EC for failing to ensure a smooth process of the presidential results and collation.
He ended by asking President Akufo-Addo to accept defeat because he has lost.
He said the President must call former President John Dramani Mahama and congratulate him.
