New office for Cybercrime Unit biggest in West Africa-Anyidoho

Koku Anyidoho, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Atta Mills Institute (AMI) has expressed joy at the current state of the new office of the Cybercrime Unit of the Ghana Police Service.

According to him, he admires the new office because its former state was not the best and did not befit the status of our CID.

He made the remarks after he had gone to file an official complaint at the CID following the threats directed at him through social media by persons he has described as “goons” over his assessment of the 2020 general elections.

To him, the new office is the biggest in West Africa and Ghanaians must be proud of having such an office for our security agency.

In a series of tweets to express his joy over the current state of the office, he said: “I honestly admire the new Office of the Cybercrime Unit of the Ghana Police Service. The Forensic Lab is the biggest and most-equipped in West Africa. Thanks to UNICEF & the other Partners for such a befitting Office. Thanks to Paul Tawiah Quaye and all other IGPs who supported.”

According to him, “when I entered the Cybercrime Unit today, I was really proud of the Unit. Last year when I visited the former office to report a case of a FAKE FACEBOOK ACCOUNT that had been opened in my name and being used to cause mischief and disaffection for me, I was not happy with what I saw.

But today, I really fell in love with what I saw and I know that forward-looking Ghanaians will be proud of the new Office Unit”, he added.
