An SC judge tried to bribe an NDC MP to vote for Oquaye-Muntaka

The Chief Whip of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Members of Parliament (MPs) Muntaka Mubarak is alleging that a Supreme Court judge tried to bribe an MP on their side to vote for Prof. Aaron Oquaye as Speaker.

The Asawase MP said the said judge promised the female MP all manner of things including free fuel for four years.

He made the allegation in an interview on the Probe, a show hosted by Joy News’ Emefa Apaw.


The legislator said the judge also reached out to other NDC MPs and promised to offer them all manner of things.

He described the act as shameful adding, the side of the NDC took note of the situation and whipped their side to vote for the nominee of the NDC.

Hon Muntaka promised that the leadership of the NDC caucus in parliament would in due course, address the media and put out details of all such engagements and name the judge involved.
