Our ‘dishourable MPs’ must apologize over chaotic scenes in Parl-Group

Founder of Citizens Watch Alliance Ghana, Nathaniel Amankwah has demanded an unqualified apology from parliamentarians for the chaos that characterized the election of the Speaker last week.

Parliament he said is a House of laws and the behaviour of the parliamentarians was an insult to Ghana’s democracy.

Mr. Amankwah speaking on Nyankonton Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm said the incident was an international embarrassment and the MPs should apologize.

He said the MPs did not behave well hence they should apologize to Ghanaians.

He slammed the two major political parties for justifying the uncouth behaviour of their MPs.

He said we had international envoys who came to witness the inaugural ceremony of the president and yet our MPs could not respectfully conduct themselves.

“I was wondering if I was watching a Chinese movie. We had in the past made fun of countries that had similar incidents but today, our MPs have disgraced us and they must apologize.”
