The President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has in accordance with Article 82(2)of the 1992 Constitution of Ghana appointed 11 persons to the Council of State.
The 11 are: Nana Otuo Sirebuo II, Juabenhene, Archbishop Justice Ofei Akrofi, Mr. Sam Okudzeto, Mr. Stanley Blankson, and Prof. Ato Essuman.
The rest are Alhaji Amidu Amadu, Dr. Margaret Amoakohene, Mrs. Georgina Kusi, Mrs. Alberta Cudjoe, Kuoro Richard Babini Kanton VI and Alhaji Sule Yiremiah.
The President has also appointed former Chief Justice Theodora Wood, a former Chief Justice, Lt. JB Danquah, a former Chief of Defence Staff of the Armed Forces and Nana Owusu Nsiah, a former IGPtp the council.
President of the House of Chiefs, Ogyeahoho Nana Gyebi II is an Ex-Officio member.
