Former Auditor-General Daniel Yaw Domelevo has described as preposterous a request by the Audit Service Board for him to prepare his handing over notes.
The Audit Service Board in a letter for Mr. Domelevo dated March 16, 2021, asked him to prepare a comprehensive handing over notes and hand it over to Mr. Johnson Akuamoah Asiedu who has been asked to act in that capacity.
The Board asked him to complete the exercise in two weeks but reacting, Mr. Domelevo said the request was preposterous.
He said he has been out of the office for more than 8 months and could not have been asked to prep[are a handing over notes.
He r4ecounted when he was asked to proceed on an accumulated leave describing it as unlawful and his resumption which was followed by the request for him to retire.
He asked the Board to direct the Auditor-General to hand over back to him [Domelevo] so he could prepare the handing over notes or they should forget about the request.
