Kasoa: 340 suspected criminals arrested

The Central Region Police Command has arrested 340 suspected criminals at Kasoa in an operation dubbed Operation Storm Kasoa.

The Command told the media that the arrest forms part of measures employed by the security agencies to combat the crime situation there.

The central Regional Police commander, DCOP Habiba Twumasi Sarpong commenting on the issue said the Police will make life uncomfortable for criminals in her jurisdiction.

The suspects arrested include suspect female sex workers, Rainbow Radio’s Nana Yaw Asare reported.

The suspects are made up of 335 males and 5 females.

The police retrieved a total of 240 laptops, 142 assorted mobile phones, and six Nigerian passports.

Aside from that, the Police found on nine suspects substances suspected to be Indian hemp.

The Commander said the suspects would be screened and those found culpable would be arraigned before court.

She asked the general public to assist the police with relevant information to help them combat crime in Kasoa.
