The fully armed to the teeth police were deployed to the location with hot water cannons in anticipation of the demonstration after securing a court order to stop the scheduled demonstration.

Caleb Kudah, who is the host of Citi Tv’s Back Page took some videos of the Police Personnel at Independence Square when they were leaving the location.

He had also disclosed through his social media platform the police attempted to seize his mobile device on that day accusing him of filming them.

Meanwhile, Human Rights lawyer and MP for Madina, Francis-Xavier Sosu has condemned the arrest.

In a Facebook post, he wrote: ”Just heard of the arrest of Citi Fm/TV’s Caleb Kudah and another simply because they filmed the police last Sunday at the Ind. Square. This is a dent on our democracy and a violation of media freedoms under the 1992 Constitution. This is very shameful. ”
