Man dies in a pool over Chelsea’s victory

The victory chalked by Chelsea in the premier league final has led to the death of a 34-year-old man in the Lower Upper West Akim District of the Eastern Region.

Rainbow Radio’s Prince Collins Bening reporting on the incident said the deceased had joined other residents in the area to watch the final match between Chelsea and Manchester City.

He said the youth went to a spot where there was a swimming pool to watch the match.

He said the young man jumped into the pool several times during the match.

However, after the match, his friends searched for him but could not find him.

They later found his shirt at the pool and took it home.

The friends returned on Sunday to search for Kwesi and reportedly found him floating in the pool.

The incident was reported at the Asamankese Police Station.

His body was later deposited at the morgue.

Meanwhile, the Police say they suspect foul play in the incident.

Our reporter said the Police suspect the young could have been murdered and the body thrown into the pool.
