A bullion van has narrowly escaped a robbery attack today, Thursday, June 17, 2021, at Gomoa Dominase in the Central Region.
Report reaching Rainbowradioonline.com indicates that the driver managed to escape from the attack.
According to information gathered, the incident happened around 4:00pm, 500 meters away from the Okyereko police station.
The suspected robbers reportedly placed leaves on the highway to trick the driver into thinking an accident had occurred on the stretch.
The driver upon reaching the scene slowed down.
The robbers then fired at the van but failed to stop it to carry out their robbery attack.
They later fled the scene after their robbery attempt failed.
The windscreen of the bullion van was damaged but no casualty was recorded.
The bullion van is currently at the Winneba Police Station.
