The Royals of Ghana Premier League (GPL), Legon Cities, has announced former Kotoko coach Maxwell Konadu to beef up their technical team until the end of the 2020/21 season.
The appointment of Maxwell Konadu was made official by the club on their official site on Sunday evening through a press release signed by the Communications Director of the club, Kwame Dwomoh-Agyemang.
Maxwell Konadu will be working with former Kotoko coach and two-time Ghana Premier League winner, Coach Bashiru Hayford to help the Royals with their last round of matches of the 2020/21 GPL.
The management of the club’s immediate decision to beef the technical team is to help the club escape relegation from the Ghana Premier League.
The 2020/21 GPL has generated its own tension which has made the league tight although Accra Hearts Of Oak have been chosen by the public to win this season’s League.
The fight for the top four slogs which is from the second to fourth place on the league log has been very tight with teams also hoping to avoid relegation this season.
The Royals are currently eleventh on the league log with just two games remaining to complete this season. Legon cities need at least a point to secure a spot in next season GPL.
Maxwell Konadu will be hoping to secure his first win for the club as he travels with the Club to their next league match against Elmina Sharks on Sunday, 11th July 2021, at the Nduom Stadium in Elmina.
