Don’t allow your prophecies to take you to jail-Prophet to men of God

November 1, 2021

The founder and leader of Field Light Chapel International, Ejuta, Apostle Solomon Obeng Afari, has cautioned his fellow men of God to be careful about the kind of prophecies they prophesy as we approach the festive season.

He advised them to be cautious, circumspect and avoid violating the law because they are limitations to the work they do.

He explained that prophecies must not create fear and panic because when they do, the law will come after you.

His advice comes after the inspector-General of Police Dr. George Akuffo-Dampare, met with faith organizations on his commitment to enforcing the laws to help sanitize the activities of faith-based organizations.

The meeting was called on the behest of the IGP Dr. George Akuffo Dampare and was aimed at highlighting the rights and limitations of the religious community within the confines of the law.

The meeting was attended by the Police Management Board, representatives of the Christian Council of Ghana, Office of the National Chief Imam, Ghana Catholic Bishops Conference, Pentecostal and Charismatic Council, Council of Independent Churches, and the National Association of Christian and Charismatic Churches.

Issues discussed include the provisions of the constitution relating to freedom of religion, the church, mosque as a corporate entity, criminal offences that may be committed by religious bodies or their appointees and possible human rights abuses.

Other issues discussed were spirituality and requirements of evidence as required by the court, religious doctrines that contravene provisions of the constitution and the general enforcement of the law.

Prophet Obeng Afari commenting on the issue said there are laws in Ghana about the practice of religion, and prophets must respect them.

He indicated that those who always want to trend or be popular should understand that the word of God and its practice is not a popularity contest.
