The governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) is claiming that Ghana will go back to an era of impunity, corruption, mismanagement, and incompetence should the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) return to office in 2024.
The party’s chief scribe John Boadu says a return of the NDC will collapse all the flagship policies and programmes introduced by the NPP.
Addressing delegates at the party’s 2021 National Delegates Conference, in Kumasi on Sunday, December 19, 2021, John Boadu alleged that a new NDC government will cancel the free SHS policy, the planting for food and jobs, the one district one factory policy, the one constituency one ambulance initiative, and the Nations Builders’ Corps (NABCO).
He said the NDC does not believe in all the policies of the NPP and has an intention to collapse all of them.
He emphasized that the return of the NDC will bring back the unemployed graduate association.
He said the NDC does not believe in free SHS and so they will collapse it, they do not believe in NHIS and so they will collapse it. They do not believe in youth unemployment programs; they changed the name of the youth employment scheme to GYEEDA and used it to create, loot and share.
He went on to claim the teacher training allowance, the allowance for Arabic instructors, mobile money interoperability, paperless systems, digital address system, drones for the delivery of medical supplies would be collapsed. Nothing would be left and we would be back to square one.
The NDC he said would take Ghana back to the IMF and their killer conditions if they win the 2024 polls.
