The Social Security and National Insurance Trust has extended the SSNIT and National Identification Authority numbers merger.
The merger according to SSNIT has been extended to June 30, 2022.
A statement issued by SSNIT asked members who were yet to register for their Ghana cards to do so to help them merge their SSNIT numbers and that of their Ghana cards.
SSNIT disclosed that from July 1, 2022, the Ghana Card will be the only identification recognized by them.
Employers have also been asked to use only the Ghana card numbers of their workers to process the payment of their SSNIT contributions.
