Market men and women who trade at Nyankumasi Ahenkro in the Assin South District of the Central Region have vowed not to pay market tolls again.
The traders have since threatened the Assin South District Assembly Revenue Collectors not to step into the market to collect market tolls again.
The traders say they do not benefit from the tolls.
The traders lamented that due to the market structure they soccer whenever it rains.
He indicated that they are forced to trade under the scorching sun.
The traders stressed the officials should not dare enter the market to collect tolls.
According to them, the government put up the foundation going into the 2020 general elections but nothing has been done after the elections.
“We trade under rain and the scorching every day and we are telling the assembly not to dare step here again for a market toll if they won’t build a market structure for us.”
