We take covid-19 vaccines every six months-Ghanaian in Israel

January 18, 2022

A Ghanaian based in Israel has admonished Ghanaians to take the vaccination meant to protect them against severe medical conditions against the Covid-19.

He said the vaccination was the surest way in containing the spread of the virus hence those who have not taken it should do so.

Speaking on Frontline on Rainbow Radio 97.5Fm, he disclosed that individuals are expected to take the vaccine every six months.

He told host Kwabena Agyapong that unlike Ghana where you only need two shots for the vaccination, in Israel, you have to go for the vaccination every six months.

He explained that the vaccination is rendered ineffective after six months and everyone is encouraged to take another shot after the sixth month.

He, therefore, wants Ghanaians to be responsible and protect themselves by adhering to the Covid-19 protocols especially the vaccination.

He said protecting oneself is crucial since you are also protecting the lives of those around you.

Israel he added is one of the countries that was badly hit with the virus and authorities have adopted measures to reduce the spread including the vaccination exercise.

The total case recorded in Israel since the outbreak is 1,792,137 with 1,530,716 recoveries.

The country currently has 253,103 connected patients with 99.8% representing 252,657 cases being mild and 0.2% representing 446 cases being serious or critical.
