The College of Education Teachers Association of Ghana (CETAG) has suspended its strike action.
The decision to call off the strike follows an emergency meeting held on 17 January 2022, an official statement issued by CETAG said.
“At an emergency meeting held on 17 January 2022, the National Council of the Colleges of Education Teachers Association of Ghana (CETAG) agreed unanimously to suspend the indefinite strike across all 46 Ghanaian public colleges of education on confirmation through validation of January salaries the implementation and payment of the 2017-2020 Conditions of Service (CoS)…), the statement said.
“Teaching is restored in all 46 public colleges of education effective Tuesday 25 January 2022…”
CETAG on January 6, 2022 declared a strike action across all 46 Ghanaian public Colleges of Education effective Thursday, 6 January 2022.
