Students and teachers of the Bethlehem Methodist Junior High School in the Upper West Akim District of the Eastern Region are currently living in fear following constant attacks on them by a mentally challenged man in the areas.
The students and teachers say it is always a state of fear when in the school because the alleged mentally challenged man, Ragol, attacks them without provocation.
They told Rainbow Radio’s Prince Collins Bening that Ragol recently attacked the headmistress of the school, Madam Azualadey Naomi.
He is said to have hit her neck with a stick during school hours.
The situation has caused some of the teachers to leave the school with others threatening to leave if the situation was not addressed.
Meanwhile, residents, the Assemblymember as well as the DCE, Mr. Eugene Sackey have underscored the need for the Police to intervene.
They want the Police to man the school to help protect the lives of the students and their teachers.
