A 25-year-old tailor apprentice, Emmanuel Boateng, who allegedly murdered his friend and a student at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, has been remanded into prison custody by the Kuntanase district court.
The suspect was arrested in connection with the murder of a 21-year-old Biological science student of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kwame Adu Gyamfi on Friday, April 22, 2022.
Kwaku Adu Gyamfi was allegedly killed by the suspect who also stole his iPhone 11 Pro stolen.
Appearing before the court on Monday, April 25, the Judge His Worship Francis Asakeya Ana-am granted a plea by the prosecution to remand the suspect.
The prosecutor told the court a docket is being prepared to be sent to the Attorney General for advice.
The suspect, who has been charged with murder, is to reappear in court on May 9, 2022.
