The Jasikan Police in the Oti Region has arrested a 21-year-old Mother of a day-old baby together with an elderly woman for allegedly dumping a baby in a pit toilet in the Jasikan District of the Oti Region on Friday, May 27, 2022.
Rainbowradioonline.com gathered that residents in the area mounted a search for the baby after discovering that the day-old baby had disappeared.
The suspects later led some residents to the pit, where they dumped the baby.
However, the baby was found dead.
The body of the baby has since been deposited at the Jasikan Hospital morgue.
